BYOP, Buy your products! Have a piece of furniture, a vintage chair or small table, but you just don’t know the process to redo it?

You bring your own piece of furniture, buy the products here in the shop, and redo your furniture project in our workroom!

This workshop is a casual workshop where you redo your furniture here in the workroom and I’ll offer casual advice as you need it. This could include how to best to clean and prep your piece, tips for painting, explain different possible treatments you could use on your piece, finishing options etc.

The piece of furniture you want to work on in this workshop will need to be small enough to fit in the space. A good rule of thumb is if you can carry it in yourself, it’ll probably work. The piece of furniture you want to bring for the workshop will need to be approved ahead of time by. If you have any questions about this, feel free to contact me to discuss if the piece you want to work on.

All the products you use on your piece in the workroom must be purchased from Frame and Frills. Then you’ll own those products and take the remainder home to stock in your own inventory.

You’ll need to touch base with me at least a week prior to the workshop date so that you can stop by the Frame and Frills studio shop to show me your piece of furniture. At that point, we can discuss how you want to redo your furniture piece, (what type of finished look you would like). You may need to take a couple swatches home to get the right color for it, etc. We will also discuss prep for your piece to get it ready for painting or finishing. This usually is done ahead of the class time, unless prior arrangements have been made with me.

Because of the time necessary for drying after cleaning and curing time for the primer, understanding scheduling for your particular piece and project will be necessary.

BYOP Workshop’s time vary.  Because your piece may be too wet for transportation after class you can leave it in the studio for a day to finish drying. Due to limited space though, the piece will need to be picked up the day after class, unless prior arrangements have been made.

This is a small gathering of 1-4 participants max. If you want to set a time for you to work on something here, or reserve a group of up to 4 people, for your own custom group time, contact me, I’d love to set up a date for you!

All workshop participants will receive a 10% discount towards their next purchase in the shop or online!

Please contact me to set up workshop time.
