Before you scroll down to see all the e-design consultation options with Frame and Frills, here are a few of the reasons this avenue of consultation may be perfect for you!
Flexible and efficient! All communication and consultation will be done online and with email.
Isn’t it great?! You don’t have to worry about having your house perfect before having a decorator visit you, (I’m pretty sure photos don’t show dust!). This avenue of working with Frame and Frills allows greatest flexibility with scheduling, so not only do our calendars not have to coordinate, I typically can start your project relatively quickly.
e-Decorating consultation with Frame and Frills is your custom project:
Depending on the actual level of detail needed for your project, the price for your e-design will vary, you choose the details you want help with. (Just like ordering a pizza with extra toppings!) You pick and choose which projects and details you want help with. You’ll see those choices when you click through each e-design consultation option below.
You’ll do the measuring…
Since I won’t be visiting the actual site to see the space in person, you will need to help me visualize what is there and what needs to change. You’ll take photos of the space, and do the measuring, then email it back to me. I can guide you through that process plan as needed. HERE you can find more on taking pictures and measurements for e-design consultation.
After you’ve selected the e-decorating you need help with, your design consultation project can start! I will send you a questionnaire about your project and your style. When you have that completed and email it, photos and measurements back to me, the fun begins! Yay! I’ll promptly get started on your project and within a few day to a couple of weeks, depending on the scope of the project, you’ll have a creative plan from Frame and Frills emailed back to you.
Yay! Your project gets started!
As I start working on the project and creative possibilities come into view, I may have more questions for you to help me tweak the plan just right for you and your needs. Email is my preference for communication, then I can easily go back and reference ideas and details we’ve discussed, keeping the design plan as accurate as possible to your requests.
I want to help you create a place that functions well in a style you love, all within the constraints of where your budget is! Unlike some designers that recommend outrageously expensive furnishings when you could get similar styles and comparable quality for a fraction of the cost, I’m a total believer that good design doesn’t have to be expensive.

Color Scheme: Starts at $75 per room. Perhaps your design dilemma is picking the right color for your walls, woodwork, cabinets and doors and/or unsure of how to balance the color scheme of your space, or where to use accent colors and how much to use.
Frame and Frills can help you with each of those color needs. I’ll even give you some painting tips if you’d like!

Accessories Consultation: Starts at $35. Accessories are an important part to decorating a room. From lamps, area rugs, wall art, to table arrangements or vignettes, the accessories add so much style. I’d love to help you find the right accessories for your room, and give you great ideas on how to display the accessories you already have!
Window Treatment e-Design Consultation: Starts at $37. A window treatment can feel like a daunting task at hand… there is the need for light control and privacy, as well as the desire for it to look good and be a lovely addition to the room. A window treatment may serve to camouflage a poorly designed or awkwardly placed window to transform it into a lovely feature of the room.
Depending on the level of help you need for your window treatment consultation, it can be as simple as me just giving you online resources, with tips and guidance as you design and select your own window treatments. The level of details and involvement from me depends if what you want. It can be as simple as giving tips, (such as where on the wall to mount the rodding) up to a very detailed window treatment plan where I design and recommend exact shades, blinds, curtains or draperies for your window in your style.
Furniture Plan: Starts at $75. A furniture plan is a floor plan for the furniture for your room, based on the function needs, space allowance, and style preference you have.
Depending on which level of consultation you choose it could be a plan for future reference, just showing recommended sizing and shape but not exact pieces. A more detailed plan could incorporate your pieces &/or new furniture pieces. This detailed type of plan will include the shopping links for the recommended pieces.
Room Surface Re-Do: Starts at $75. A room surface re-do is resurfacing some or all of the room’s surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings, and light fixtures, basically anything that is visible in the finished space and is attached to the room.
This plan can include details such as hardware, light fixture recommendations, flooring, walls, designing custom built-ins, etc. Applicable shopping links for are included in this e-design consultation, including some pretty great flooring resources and discounts.
Bathroom Plan: Starts at $75. This plan can include any of the following details, depending on what your room needs are.
I can just give you tips and decorating advice to create a great bathroom, with you doing all the legwork, or a more detailed plan can include a sketched plan for the bathroom, including creative design details. I can make recommendations for the finishes of the room, such as paint color, exact cabinetry shopping links, tile and flooring options, or you can choose to do the details on your own with the main plan in your hands.
Kitchen Re-Do Plan: Starts at $75. This kitchen plan redo could be a simple facelift with paint, backsplash, and/or hardware changes all the way to an extensive remodel of changing cabinets, flooring and more.
You choose what all details you want to change and purchase the exact design consultation for your budget.
Based on your selections, this plan could include some or all of the following details: The floor plan layout, perhaps a change in cabinet placement, as well as recommendations for cabinet sizes, paint color, exact cabinetry shopping links, tile and flooring options.
Floor Plan Re-Do: A floor plan redo is to offer creative ideas in problem solving the issue of a poorly function floor plan or design that lacks your style preference.
Unlike a surface redo, which is for the surfaces of a room, a ‘floor plan re-do’ goes a level below the surface. When I do a ‘floor plan re-do’, I consider options like the possibility of moving wall locations to make a smarter floor plan, room uses and the possibility of switching it up with another if that makes for more cohesive or better plan, how to incorporate style and built in character into the space among many other possibilities.
This typically would be a large project on your end, and is something that I LOVE doing the design for, transforming a poorly functioning floor plan into a much smarter plan using the space to its full potential for your needs and desires! Typically this plan would include a hand sketched new floor plan with rough elevation sketches for detail changes as applicable.
A floor plan redo is to get an overall vision of how the home could look with a fresh approach. It doesn’t include professional blue-prints. I’m not an architect I’m an interior decorator, therefore any wall, floor, or any changes to the structure I am suggesting as possibilities. You would need to have the final design plan approved by a qualified contractor to be sure your finished plan meets all local building codes before you begin.
With Frame and Frills, what you’re tapping in to is my design creativity, with the ability to look at a poorly functioning space that lacks your style desire and visualize it as a space that functions well and is lovely to be in. I specialize in creative thinking to design a way to create character and interest in a room. I will be looking at your floor plan and house interior details, ie: woodwork and character details with fresh eyes… to see what simple &/or extensive possibilities could change the house for the better.
A floor plan redo does not include the ‘frills’ or finishes of the room, such as paint color, furnishing plan, flooring plan etc. consultation for those details are each listed above separately.
If you have a different design dilemma that doesn’t quite fit in one of these categories, and are wondering how we’d price it out, email me to see if it is something Frame and Frills can help you with.
For all design plans…
Frames and Frills doesn’t sell any goods or furnishings directly. I can source furnishings for you, suggesting an exact sofa, dresser, light fixture etc. with the exact shopping link for said item. ( If you purchase something through some of the shopping links I send you, I may be compensated from the retailer, but there is no additional cost to you for that) I will primarily recommend furnishings from major national brand online stores, sometimes I may source something from a local store or an online site such as eBay or Etsy. Whichever the source is, you will be the one responsible to buy directly from them and communicate with them regarding shipping, delivery, furniture warranty etc. Frame and Frills LLC is not responsible to any defect or fault of any furnishings, pieces or material recommended.
